Sediment Vase

A one-of-a-kind wheel-thrown ceramic vase featuring layers of earthy, reactive glaze that move across the surface like exposed stone and sediment.

The exterior combines warm cream, smoky charcoal, muted olive, rust and amber tones, with each glaze breaking and overlapping differently around the form. The result is an abstract, almost geological surface where no two sides look exactly the same. A deep brown glazed interior provides a rich contrast to the lighter exterior.

Its simple cylindrical form keeps the focus on the glaze, making Sediment equally suited for displaying flowers or standing on its own as a sculptural accent.

Each piece is individually thrown and glazed by hand, allowing the firing process to create variations in color, movement and texture that cannot be exactly reproduced.
