Patina Raku Vase

A one-of-a-kind raku-fired vessel defined by layered texture and dramatic metallic color. Hand-formed horizontal ridges wrap around the piece, catching flashes of copper, bronze, turquoise and deep charcoal created during the raku firing process.

Inside, a richly textured turquoise surface contrasts with metallic copper highlights around the rim. The unpredictable atmosphere of the raku firing creates a finish that can never be duplicated, making this piece completely unique.

Designed as a sculptural accent piece, Patina brings an aged, almost excavated quality to a modern ceramic form.

Please note: Unlike traditional raku vessels, this piece has been finished with a watertight ceramic layer on the interior, allowing it to hold water and be used with fresh-cut flowers.

The variations in color, smoky areas, surface markings, crackling and irregularities are natural results of the raku firing process and are intentional characteristics of this one-of-a-kind piece.
